Francis Gallagher - Castlewellan community worker and Regional Director Friendships Without Borders Inc. 'on site' in Ireland - a graduate of the University of Ulster in History, Education and career guidance - author and founder of local social programs studying emigration patterns - a strategy to respond to the increasing incidence of young suicides - local wellfare benefits enhancement and recently, producer and editor of a successful, regional newspaper - the Mourne Echo. The newspaper, a vehicle for the 'young voice' in confronting divisive local issues and promoting ideas for community development and inclusion. Promoting the self supporting one year introductory Pilot Program of Friendships Without Borders - Francis Gallagher is presently setting up the other arm of the young 'media voice' in film production and presentation.
![]() Mr Colm Mc Clean - resident of the Mourne region - local business entrepreneur and consultant, expert in the field of hi tech communications electronics - international investor - and, presently Regional Director of Inward Investment for the Moune region for the Pilot Program of Friendships Without Borders Inc. Colm McClean has recruited business investment from the Chinese and Hong Kong business communities - has worked in New York as a service engineer consultant - lecturer in electronics in several colleges - also inventor of rust proofing technology for heavy industrial equipment and a car immobilizer unit - the former sold to a large firm in southern Ireland, now employing twenty seven workers. Mr Mc Clean's present plans also include a joint venture with a hi tech communications company from the United States and, with creating assembly plant job opportunities for the EU market in the Mourne region. |
